"Dear, New Mom Boss

If people tell you what you do looks “easy”, and anyone could do it, say thanks and keep it moving. Obviously they don’t REALLY know you or what you’re going through.

They don’t see the hours you put in, your hard work, the countless decision making, or your trials and lessons. They don’t realize that corporations hire multiple people to direct and manage teams of even more people to do what you do as a team of one.

Girl, what you’ve been able to do on your own is not easy.

So if others think what you do looks easy, that’s a huge compliment – because you’re obviously knocking it out of the park.

The mastermind that you are knows the truth. You are one helluva FORCE to reckon with.

Keep pushing, rest when needed, refuel, and do what you can to make those Mom Boss dreams a reality. Your diligence and hard work will pay off.

Your determination will allow you to rise to the next level. And the next level. And the next level, heyyy there’s levels to this!

It's so easy to get caught up on what the "package" has and doesn't have. So easy to get caught up over what "I superficially want" over what "I realistically need". My prayer before Sam was for God to give me a husband that I need more than what I want. Because at the end of the day, when looks fade, and it gets hard to keep those vows of for better or worse, rich or poor, sickness and in health, in love or just annoyed... (wait that last one isn't in there 😂)... AT THE END OF THE DAY, you don't need another "YES MAN" or "YES WOMAN", you need someone who will support you yet also not be afraid to positively challenge you to follow your dreams and the call God has on your life. And for them to not be afraid to do that there has to be trust and permission. A safe place has to be developed and nurtured.
Be with someone who's not afraid to put work in and put themselves aside to build the mutual goals you have to build a strong, loving, and respectful relationship.

There are still some great men/women out there... I just believe they're either being over looked because they don't come packaged as expected or because they think they have to play up to a false role that they themselves know they don't want to be or can even keep up with.

Ladies & Fellas be true, be you, learn to love and respect yourself for who God created you to be.

Soooo yeah I don't know what else to say but... just love you, be real, and look for someone who respects not just you but themselves as well. I didn't mean to write all that, but I guess someone needed the reminder and encouragement. Take what applies to ya and be blessed.
