Our Mommy and Son Photo Session

I’m pretty sure that every mom can agree, once you have children, photos of their little faces fill your phone gallery.  However, when you scan through your gallery, how many of those photos include you and your child? For me it is slim, but it’s something I want to change. I feel that it’s just as important to be able to look back in time at not only how much Samson has grown, but also how I’ve grown as a Mother. Every photo has a story attached to it, and I don’t want to be left out of the story line. I’ve started to consciously ask for photos to be taken of me and Samson together.

When my friend came up with the idea to do Mommy and Me photo’s with matching outfits I was all for it! You don’t see many Mommy and Me photo shoots with Mom’s and their son’s – so I felt this was extra special and unique. I will forever cherish these photos with Samson for many years to come.

Shout to Jaymi for the photo session idea! Credit to Abby for the Ankara fabric, hand delivered from Ghana. Big thanks to our seamstress Mercy in Tampa, Florida. We just showed her pictures of what we wanted, she took our measurements and it was done! And last but not least HUGE thanks to Donald for taking these photos, and my husband Sam co-assisting with getting the kids to somewhat cooperate lol

I hope this inspires you to get into more photos with your children! Stay tuned for photos and a post from the rest of us in a blog post on the Sisterhood of Motherhood.

Sincerely, Mrs. Mommy Signature
